How the speed calculator works
In Steal an Egg, your movement Speed decides which biomes you can safely enter and raid. Every biome has a hard Speed Gate, and the gap between your current Speed and that gate is what your Treadmill has to close:
Biome speed gates at a glance
- Meadow Ridge — 0 Speed (no gate, start here)
- Desert — 50 Speed
- Snow Biome — 75 Speed
- Storm Peaks — 100 Speed
- Mutation Double — 150 Speed (mutation chance doubles)
- Cherry Blossom — 2.5 Billion Speed

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I calculate treadmill training time in Steal an Egg?
Training time equals (target Speed − current Speed) divided by your Treadmill rate, multiplied by your Oni Tiger buff (+15%) and any equipped trail boost. The calculator above does this for any biome gate you pick.
Why is Speed 150 so important?
Reaching Speed 150 doubles your mutation chance — from roughly 2% per hatch to about 4%. That nearly halves the number of eggs you need for the same mutation odds, so it is worth planning your Treadmill milestones around it.
What is the fastest way to reach the Cherry Blossom region?
The Cherry Blossom gate sits at 2.5 Billion Speed. You will need the highest Treadmill tiers (Cosmic or Sakura Overdrive) plus an Oni Tiger for a 15% training boost, and Rebirth bonuses to cut your grind time.
