What is the Crane?
The Crane is an Epic-tier pet added in the Cherry Blossom Update (August 22, 2026). On its own it only earns about $4,000/s - far below the region's heavier hitters - but it is the only pet that can be fed to the Cherry Blossom Tree to unlock the Great Bloom mutation event. That makes it the single most important pet in the end-game economy.
How to get a Crane
- Reach the Cherry Blossom region. It sits beyond the Cosmic area and has a hard gate of Speed 2.5 billion. You cannot get in without it.
- Steal Cherry Blossom Eggs from the region's nests. The egg has a pink top with a deep purple line through the middle.
- Hatch it. The Crane is the most common roll in the Cherry Blossom Egg pool, so it usually takes just a few hatches - not hundreds like the Stag.

What does the Crane do?
The Crane is a mechanic pet, not an income pet. Here is the full loop:
- Feed a Crane to the Cherry Blossom Tree to start the Great Bloom event.
- Smash sakura blossoms with the baseball bat to collect stones.
- Bring stones to the tree to mutate your eggs into Bloom or Spirit Bloom versions.
- Hatch the mutated eggs for massively stronger pets - a Bloom-mutated pet can out-earn the next base tier up.
Should you sell your Cranes?
No - not your first several. A Crane's $4,000/s is pocket change by the time you reach the Cherry Blossom region. The Great Bloom event it unlocks produces pets worth millions per second. Once you have a comfortable stack of Cranes banked for future events, the overflow is fine to sell or trade.
Other pets in the Cherry Blossom pool
The Crane is the common hatch, but the same egg can roll these pets (rarest last):
- Salamander (Legendary, ~$74,000/s) - bridge income while you hunt higher.
- Red Panda (Mythic, ~$450,000/s) - first serious end-game earner.
- Snowy Owl (Cosmic, ~$7.5M/s) - elite income.
- Koi (Cosmic, ~$12M/s) - second-highest income known.
- Stag (Secret, ~$145M/s) - rarest and most valuable pet in the game.
The developer has also confirmed Eternal and Divine quality slots exist in the pool, but their pet names were not yet announced.

How to Get Crane and Unlock Cherry Blossom Event in Roblox Steal an Egg
by GamerNom · 8:35
Step-by-step walkthrough of unlocking the Crane, opening the incubator, and running the Cherry Blossom Great Bloom event — including the fire-dragon dodge and the night mystery biome.
- You need roughly 2.9 billion Speed to outrun the Cherry Blossom boss, then steal the smallest Cherry Blossom eggs to hatch a Crane.
- Hatch the Crane and open the incubator to start the Cherry Blossom quest, then grind petals by hitting blossoms with the baseball bat.
- Small blossoms are one-hit (5 petals) — far faster than the big ones. Always carry a GOOD egg when mutating or you waste ~1,000 petals.
- A fire-breathing dragon patrols the event: if it breathes fire toward you, wait and dodge or you die and reset.
- When night falls a mystery biome is revealed and only ONE player can win the prize egg — expect PvP.
FAQ
What is a Crane in Steal an Egg?
The Crane is an Epic-tier pet added in the August 22, 2026 Cherry Blossom Update. It earns about $4,000/s, but its real value is as a key: feeding a Crane to the Cherry Blossom Tree unlocks the Great Bloom event, which lets you mutate eggs into Bloom and Spirit Bloom versions.
How to get a Crane in Steal an Egg?
Reach the Cherry Blossom region (Speed 2.5 billion hard gate), steal Cherry Blossom Eggs from its nests, and hatch them. The Crane is the most common hatch from that egg pool, so it usually takes only a few eggs.
Why is the Crane so important?
Cranes are the only pet that can be fed to the Cherry Blossom Tree to start the Great Bloom event. Without a Crane you cannot mutate eggs, and without mutations you cannot reach the Bloom / Spirit Bloom pets that are worth millions per second.
Should I sell my Crane for money?
No - at least not your first few. A Crane only earns $4,000/s, which is trivial at end-game. Feed it to the Cherry Blossom Tree to unlock Great Bloom instead; the mutated pets you get from that event are worth far more.
