The speed ladder
Your Speed stat comes from treadmill training. Every biome beyond the starter zone is gated by a speed threshold.

Meadow Ridge

Community reports put the comfortable milestone around Speed 10-25, but the hard gate is 50.
Snow

Do not touch Snow before Speed 120 - guard damage doubles below the threshold.

Do not attempt entry below the 2.5B Speed hard gate - the Guardian catches under-leveled players instantly.
Biome strategy
Do not rush gates. Entering the Desert below Speed 50 means the guards will catch you before you escape with any egg. The Snow biome is even harsher - guards deal double damage to players below its community milestone of Speed 120.
The Storm Peaks hard gate sits at Speed 100, but treat it as a floor, not a goal. Comfortable runs start around Speed 120, where you can also grab the Lava Egg - once the strongest income egg in the game, now a mid-game stepping stone.
The Cherry Blossom region (added August 2026) sits beyond Cosmic and demands a 2.5 billion Speed hard gate. Its Crane pet unlocks the Great Bloom mutation event, and its Secret-tier Stag is the most valuable pet in the game at roughly $145M/s.
Remember the side reward: reaching Speed 150 doubles your mutation chance. It is the only speed milestone that buffs hatching, not just escaping.

A full progression run through every biome — Forest, Desert, Jungle, Snow, Volcano, Abyss Ocean, Prehistoric and Cosmic — showing how rarities, Speed gates and night resets work.
- Biomes escalate: Forest → Desert → Jungle → Snow → Volcano → Abyss Ocean → Prehistoric → Cosmic, each gated by higher Speed (Cosmic needs ~700M).
- Every zone has its own rarity pool — even the first zone can drop a Legendary; each biome hatches different pet tiers.
- At night the eggs reset and a secret egg (e.g. the T-Rex in Prehistoric) can spawn — be ready the moment it resets.
- The Fuse Machine combines 3 of the same pet into a better-luck pet.
- Use bear traps to steal rivals’ eggs, and use Trails / game passes (2x Money, 2x Growth, Grow All) to multiply progression.
