Steal an Egg Rare Eggs
How the server-wide spawn actually works, why no egg timer can be exact, and the routine that wins contested eggs without cheating.

The four rules behind every rare egg spawn
These are consistent across creator playthroughs and are the reason an egg timer cannot be reliable.
1Every active server shares the same spawn
When a good egg appears, it appears in every server at once — but the SIZE differs per server. Server-hop before you collect, because collecting it removes it everywhere until the next respawn.
2The global chat tells you what is coming
Every time a high-value egg spawns (Eternal, Prehistoric, Cosmic and similar), it is announced in global chat. Watch chat instead of guessing at a timer.
3Night is the real reset
Eggs reset at night, a secret egg can spawn during that reset, and eggs get roughly a 30x growth multiplier on each cycle overnight. The night window is where rare eggs are actually won.
4Speed decides contested eggs
On a shared spawn the fastest player gets there first. Pick a server where your Speed is near the top rather than a server full of end-game players.
Spawn and growth cycle
Reported cadence from creator playthroughs. Roblox has not published an official timer, so treat these as observations rather than a schedule.
| Event | Reported cadence | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Egg growth cycle | ~4-5 minutes | Stay on the map and keep pets growing between raids. |
| Night growth multiplier | ~30x per cycle | AFK through the night instead of waiting offline. |
| Server-wide egg reset | At night | Be positioned before it lands — big mutated eggs appear with an outline. |
| Secret egg spawn | During the night reset | Watch chat; one player usually wins the prize egg. |
| Cosmic Egg rotation | 5 fixed spawn points | Learn the points and pre-position on the next one. |
How to win a contested spawn
1Watch global chat, not a stopwatch
Spawn announcements for high-value eggs appear in global chat the moment they happen. No external timer can be reliable here because the timing is server-side, so chat is your source of truth.
2Server-hop for the biggest version
Size is per server, and size multiplies income. Before collecting a rare egg, hop a few servers to compare — a 1M kg pet earns roughly double a small one of the same species.
3Pick a server where your Speed wins
Sort by player count and hop until your Speed is competitive for that lobby. Being the fastest player in the room matters more than your absolute Speed.
4Be there for the reset
Grab eggs right after the server-wide reset, when big mutated eggs appear with a visible outline. At night the growth cycle runs roughly every 4-5 minutes with about a 30x multiplier.
5Use traps and a Huge pet
Bear traps make rivals slip and drop eggs. On a guarded spawn, a Huge pet holds aggro for 4-6 seconds, which is enough to lift the egg and start the run home.
The eggs worth racing for
Every top-tier egg in the database, with the Speed you need to reach it.
| Egg | Where / requirement | Hatch |
|---|---|---|
| Mythic Egg | Desert treasure chests · Egg race rewards | ~5 hours growth |
| Cosmic Egg | Rare egg race rotation · 5 fixed spawn points | ~5 hours growth |
| Lava Egg | Biome 4 (Storm Peaks) nests · Requires Speed 100+ (hard gate) | ~25 minutes |
| Cherry Blossom Egg | Cherry Blossom biome nests (requires Speed 2.5 billion) | To be confirmed |
Secret eggs: what players actually report
Secret eggs are not listed in any official drop table. These are the spawns creators have shown on video — useful leads, not confirmed content.
- T-Rex (Prehistoric): the best-known secret egg, reported to spawn during the night reset in the Prehistoric biome. Grab it the moment the reset lands.
- Snow secret egg: widely reported as the easiest secret to steal, needing roughly 170k Speed — the entry point if you have never taken one.
- Secret Stag (Cherry Blossom): the rarest roll from the Cherry Blossom Egg, behind a 2.5 billion Speed gate. See the Crane guide for reaching the region.
- One winner per spawn: secret eggs are commonly reported as single-claim — the first player to collect it takes it for that cycle.
Do not use scripts or exploits
Third-party scripts that reveal spawn timings or auto-collect eggs break the Roblox Terms of Use and put your account at risk. Creators covering this game have said the same thing on record. Everything on this page is achievable by reading public chat, learning the spawn points and hopping servers — and none of it can get you banned. We cover the full risk (and what to do if you already ran one) on the script safety page.
Rare egg FAQ
How often do rare eggs spawn in Steal an Egg?
There is no published official timer. What the community consistently reports is a server-wide spawn cycle of roughly 4 to 5 minutes during the night window, with a full egg reset at night and a growth multiplier of about 30x on each cycle. Treat both numbers as player observation, not a schedule.
What time do rare eggs spawn in Steal an Egg?
The night reset is the window that matters: eggs reset, secret eggs can appear, and growth runs about 30x faster. Because Roblox servers run on their own clock, the practical approach is to watch global chat announcements rather than convert a fixed real-world time.
Do all servers share the same rare egg spawns?
Yes for the spawn itself, no for the size. Every active server gets the same spawn, but each server rolls a different SIZE for that egg. Once somebody collects it, it is gone in every server until the next respawn.
Where do Cosmic Eggs spawn?
Cosmic Eggs rotate between five fixed spawn points in the Cosmic zone. The rotation is predictable in the sense that the points never move — learn all five and pre-position, because the whole server is racing you to them.
What is the easiest secret egg to steal?
Community reports point at the Snow secret egg as the most accessible, needing roughly 170k Speed to reach and steal. The Prehistoric T-Rex is the most famous secret egg but sits behind a much higher Speed requirement.
Can I use a script or exploit to find rare eggs first?
Do not. Third-party scripts and exploits violate the Roblox Terms of Use and put your account at risk of a ban. Some creators have also warned that players who hack to leak spawn timings are cheating — you can read public chat predictions and win legitimately.

Community strategies for predicting rare egg spawns, finding the best server, and using traps to win egg races — includes a clear warning against hacking.
- Every time a good egg (Eternal, Prehistoric, Cosmic) spawns it is announced in global chat — watch chat to know what is coming.
- Warning from the creator: some players cheat to leak spawns — do NOT hack the game. Legit players can still read public chat predictions.
- Grab eggs right after the server-wide egg reset, when big mutated eggs appear with a visible outline.
- Find a server where your Speed is the highest so nobody out-runs you to the egg; hop servers until you find a good egg pool.
- Use bear traps to make rivals slip and drop eggs; AFK on the treadmill to stack Speed for the top-tier eggs.
